5 Top Thriller Soundtracks

During the production of my opening scene for my thriller i decided to research into well known thriller soundtracks to get ideas of what music i want.

The Bride of Frankenstein
This soundtrack creates suspense and tension, certain sections are slower and quiet whilst other sections are rapid and loud which takes the audience by suprise, there are also romantic moods in the soundtrack which conveys the theme of love within the film hence the title 'The Bride of Frankenstein'.

Sisters:
The soundtrack to sisters sounds orchestral, a range of instruments were used to create this track. It sounds squeamish at the start which suggests anticipation in the film. The drums also add to the effect of something creeping up as it is often repeated.

Halloween 2:
The music is very jumpy creating mystery and tension, the drums are dominant throughout the whole piece. The soundtrack is somewhat uncomfortable as high pitch sounds are repetitive.

Hell Raiser:
Hell raiser creates a fearful mood for the viewer, it keeps us suspense as we dont know whats next. The music differs in dynamics as some parts are slow some are faster which gives the piece a good variation.

Bernard Herrmann Psyco-
This piece of music is very intense as the range of different string instruments adds to the atmosphere, the music is high pitched and feels claustrophobic as the rhythm is continuous and non stop.
